Lollapalooza, the iconic music festival that has become a staple of Chicago summers, is gearing up for its 20th anniversary celebration. From August 1st to 4th, Grant Park will once again come alive with the sounds of top-tier headliners and emerging artists across eight stages, promising four days of unparalleled musical experiences.

This year’s lineup boasts a diverse array of talent, with headliners including the soulful SZA, the energetic Blink-182, the boundary-pushing Tyler, the Creator, the anthemic The Killers, the enigmatic Future X, the innovative Metro Boomin, the haunting Hozier, the dynamic Stray Kids, the captivating Melanie Martinez, and the electrifying Skrillex. Joining them are an array of artists ranging from the legendary Deftones to the infectious Kesha, ensuring that there’s something for every musical taste.

Ticket presales for Lollapalooza 2024 kick off on Thursday, March 21st at 10 a.m., offering fans the opportunity to secure their passes at the lowest prices. However, it’s essential to act fast, as prices will increase at 12 p.m. when the public on-sale begins. Additionally, while day-by-day lineups are yet to be announced, festival-goers can expect a meticulously curated schedule that maximizes their experience.

Beyond the music, Lollapalooza remains committed to supporting the local community and fostering a culture of inclusivity. Initiatives such as the Lollapalooza Arts Education Fund, which donates $2.2 million to support arts and education in Chicago Public Schools, underscore the festival’s dedication to making a positive impact beyond the stage. Furthermore, partnerships with organizations like Re:wild highlight Lollapalooza’s commitment to environmental sustainability, with efforts to offer more plant-based dining options and support wildlife conservation projects.

In anticipation of the festival’s milestone anniversary, Paramount+ will premiere “Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza,” a three-part docu-series exploring the origins and evolution of this cultural phenomenon. Featuring insights from Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, the series promises an intimate look at how a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction became a global music institution.

As Lollapalooza continues to evolve and innovate, its core values of community, creativity, and sustainability remain at the forefront. With its 20th anniversary on the horizon, this year’s festival promises to be a celebration of music, culture, and the enduring spirit of Lollapalooza.
